The WDT (Weiss Distribution Tool) by Sworksdesign is made of anodized aluminium. Inside, there is an insert that can hold up to 17 needles. Sworksdesign recommends using a maximum of 9 at a time. Magnets are standardly installed at the end of the tool. This insert also allows you to mix needles of different thicknesses. Sworksdesign prefers thin needles up to a maximum diameter of 0.35mm, as needles with a larger diameter move the coffee instead of breaking up clumps. Larger needles will even create more clumps, the opposite of what a WDT tool should do.
Each tool comes with a pack of 0.22mm needles and a pack of 0.25mm needles. Each pack contains 10 needles. Needles are custom-made with a rounded tip, preventing pricking.
