We are MOTO

Every good start begins with the basics. For us, that means genuinely good coffee, 100% organic, carefully roasted, with no fuss.

Moto stands for coffee with character: professional yet personal. We know our customers by name, and they know us. No unnecessary hassle, but the best human service, fair origin, and coffee that benefits everyone – from farmer to barista.

We constantly ask ourselves: Can it be simpler, healthier, greener, better? This keeps us sharp, keeps us growing, and ensures our coffee is as good every day as the first cup.

Our promises:

  • 100% organic – free from pesticides
  • Carefully selected – and roasted in-house
  • Always in balance – quality, taste, health, and environment

Because good coffee does more than just taste good. It benefits the earth, people, and yourself. Together with our customers, coffee growers, and suppliers, we are building a fair coffee chain: conscious, committed, and always moving forward.

Moto. Good, conscious, all organic.

Energy-efficient roaster

We roast our coffee on an efficient and energy-saving roaster: a Loring Kestrel S35. Gas consumption is 80% lower than a roaster of comparable capacity.

We roast using residual propane gas, fully CO2 compensated by our supplier Rijngas. A simple and good choice.

100% Organic Coffees

We select and roast only the finest organically certified coffees, with traceable origins, for which we pay a fair price. Why only organic?

No artificial pesticides (such as pesticides) and/or artificial fertilizers were used during cultivation. This means there is no unnecessary impact on nature, the soil, and biodiversity. Let alone on the health of the farmer. Pure nature and nothing else. And you can taste that in our coffees. In our opinion, the healthiest choice.

Our roastery is organically certified by the independent Skal Biocontrole Foundation (108591).

Impact

We are aware that everything we create or use has an impact. Where we have a choice, we opt for recycled or easily recyclable products.

Our shipping boxes are made from 90% recycled cardboard. The *take away* cups, like the lids, are made of cardboard instead of plastic. We return our used jute and plastic coffee bags (via Ephora Solutions) to the farmers for reuse. We have our printing done on Paperwise paper as much as possible. And our roastery is located in a brand-new building with an insulation value of A+++, with a roof full of solar panels.
